Polite reason-giving. Softer than から. Preferred in business/formal contexts. あめなので = because of rain.
~ので — Reason (Polite)
~ので gives a reason — softer and more polite than から.
Formation: plain form + ので (な-adjective/noun + なので)
あめがふっているので、いきません。
— Because it's raining, I won't go.
びょうきなので、やすみます。
— Because I'm sick, I'll take the day off.
じかんがないので、タクシーにのりました。
— Because I had no time, I took a taxi.
ので vs から:
から = direct, assertive reason (more casual)
ので = softer, explanatory (more polite/formal)
Business/formal → ので preferred
Casual chat → から is fine
For N4: ので is expected in polite contexts.
